will my LCS buy my platinum

I bought an ounce of platinum last week. I showed it to my dad, and he laughed, saying that it would be hard to resell platinum. He said it's tough to find buyers (though my local shops seem fine), you lose that big premium you paid upfront, and sometimes you even have to sell below spot price
What do you think guys, is it true? will my LCS buy my platinum?

you will take a big loss if you just bought it

Yeah, I think your old man is right. You will lose the premium pricetag and may not sell it as much as you bought it, but it's not that big of a problem to sell it. I'm sure you'll find a least one local coin shop that will be happy to take it off your hands.
