My sis likes silver, she saw this "Investor Crate" thing, a subscription box with silver inside delivered monthly.

It's interesting, but probably pricier than buying straight up, but has anyone tried it?

she just bought their $100 starter pack, no clue how much silver is inside.

Reviews are old, prices are the same, so I'm guessing it changes with the market.

I'll share what's in the box when it shows up. My sis got this investor crate from investorcrate website. What do you think guys?

I'd rather get from dealers, IMO. at least with dealers, i get to pick what I want. I think this investor crate thing sends you random items? correct me if I'm wrong

I agree with @Radical Rose. The investor crate might be convenient because it gets delivered to your door, but I think it's more of a gamble than an investment. Depeneding on what she gets, it could end up getting more expensive, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

That "Investor Crate" surely resembles the blind box trend nowadays, a real pig in a poke for silver. These often carry high premiums over market value. Curious though, did that $100 price on the starter pack stay fixed regardless of silver's market ups and downs?

You've got a good variety of opinions here. I understand the convenience factor, but not being able to choose what you receive and probably paying extra for it seems like a gamble for stacking. I'm interested to see what your sister ends up with, it could be a fun experience if she prefers surprises over serious investing. By the way, did the $100 remain unchanged regardless of how silver's performing this week?

Well if she's in it for the fun of getting mystery stuff, cool. But if she's trying to stack for value, she's better off buying exactly what she wants from a dealer. Tell her... stop her... I guess she values your opinion enough for you to think of asking here.

again, listen to what Slain just said...... stop her. those mystery boxes are an overpriced, marketing idea. have her just go get the 90% silver dimes or quarters. many places will sell her a $5 roll of 1964 and earlier silver dimes at nearly melt. These days, I am getting these rolls and even the quarters, half dollars and peace and morgan silver dollars UNDER melt price. I just got about $175 face value of these including 30 silver dollars at $26 to $27 times face value,
