Been researching ways to deal with milk spots on silver, and chemical solutions like sodium and ammonium thiosulphates caught my attention. Everything I've found so far suggests that only buffing or polishing helps, but I'd rather avoid surface damage. Has anyone tried chemical methods that actually work?

I'm still just weighing my options and haven't tried any dips because my main goal is to avoid any surface damage. I'm a firm believer in measuring twice and cutting once, so I want to find a proven chemical method before attempting anything at all.
