silver squeeze and rigged market?

I have this renewed interest on diversifying into silver, seeing its potential as a hedge given current economic conditions. However, I keep running into discussions about market manipulation, which is a major concern for me.

I remember the silver squeeze attempt in 2021, and how the price action seemed to deflate pretty quickly despite the massive retail interest. It makes me wonder if larger forces are at play, suppressing prices.

Is this a valid concern for a new investor, or am I overthinking it? How do you experienced stackers and investors factor in these potential dynamics? Any insights would be appreciated!

Most experienced stackers factor manipulation into their strategy by viewing silver as a long term play rather than a get rich quick asset, they stack physical, stay patient, and treat price suppression as a feature, not a flaw buying when it's cheap and available

of course it's being manipulated. the 'haves' will always control what the 'have-nots' wish we had. that's why we're the 'have-nots'. the question you should be asking is, "is it more 'manipulated' today, than it was yesterday?"

historically, silver/gold ratio was 16:1. as of the last couple of years, we've been bouncing between 100:1 and 70:1. today, it's sitting at 87:1. here's a chart showing it's historical usage before the 'central banking system' took over. really clarifies things for me, to show what "non-manipulated" values actually are. guess which direction it's being manipulated in...
