I been lurking on forums and auction sites for scrap silver deals but dang, most listings look like they're straight up moon shots. Is there a trick to finding legit buys or should I stick to BU coins and bars? Halp!

Yeah, most of those listings are garbage, overpriced junk with "vintage" slapped on to justify the markup. Stick to BU coins and bars from known dealers unless you really know how to spot a deal. Scrap is a minefield if you're not sharp.

Word up on that. Feels like everyone thinking their old silverware is pure gold these days. You got any recommendations for those known dealers for BU stuff that ain't gonna empty one's wallet?
